Perran
has 23 hook-up and 14 non hook-up pitches. During the quieter months it is ideal for people without children it also has it's own amenities block.
Rose
is a smaller field with 8 hook-up and 11 non hook-up pitches. It is noted for it's more intimate feel and is ideal for families.
Willow
is the largest field, with 33 hook-up and 13 non hook-up pitches.
There are some hardstandings and grass terraced pitches. It is adjacent to the playing field and the animal area.
Meadow
is our smallest most sheltered field. It has 18 camping pitches and is suitable for smaller tents. It usually has more couples in here as they generally have smaller tents. Due to our location we also have coastal path walkers using this field as one of their stopovers.
The
Play Area includes
swings, slides and a toddlers' play house.
The Playing Field provides
a safe level area for games or just running about.
We
have a collection of Animals,
including miniature pigs, pygmy goats, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs,
which we encourage visitors to feed, pet and make friends with.
Please remember that although our animals are all very friendly,
they do not like being annoyed and dislike like loud noises,
so we ask that you make sure your children are supervised,
and make sure everybody washes their hands after petting the
animals.
You
can select which field you prefer on the booking form, but
please remember that if we are busy we may not be able to accommodate
you in your preferred location.
Hedges and Things
Here at Tollgate Farm we try our best to keep
things as natural as we can. That is why some of
our banks and hedges may not look as manicured
as others, but this really encourages lots of
different wildlife.
We have also planted over 500 trees and shrubs
in the last two years. The decision was made not
to mow the animal field thus encouraging the wild
flowers and the insects.
You
will probably see lots of rabbits around here. We also
have stoats, weasels, foxes, badgers
and two feral cats that live in and around the
barns.
There
is a large variety of birdlife from the small garden birds
through to the buzzards circling
overhead. Because of Tollgate Farm’s close
proximity to the coast and the dunes, we have a
few birds that you may not be so familiar with, like
the raven, the much smaller stonechat and
skylarks. If you’re very lucky you may see a barn
owl or a peregrine falcon.
Of course we must mention the seagulls that can
spot a bin or binbag from miles away so please
keep them out of sight.
Please use our recycling facilities available for
your glass and cans.
Please put all disposable BBQs on the bricks
provided, available at the entrance to each field
and please return after use.
Laundry facilities are located in the amenities
block in the field called Willow.
